It is going to be a great year for blueberries. The fields are full of them and so are the shorelines. These I found at the Dead River Basin west of Marquette.

Wild strawberries that took so long to pick but I scavenged enough for a batch of jam.

A few wintergreen berries still left. I made wintergreen jam and oh is it delicious.

I think the birds brougth the seed here and it survived on the Lake Superior shoreline as it remained good and wet and moist.

Thimbleberries looking great. WOW I am so excited to know that there are thimbleberries on the east side of the U.P. The patch will remain a secret.
