2011 Ice Shoves Lake Michigan

A very long walk down that shoreline and finally...ICE

It is a bear head..and also beary cold.

It is so hard to believe it is March 31, 2011 and all this ice is yet to melt.

Tested this area with a walking stick before going forward. To the right there was standing water that was about 2 feet deep.

What a place...like Antarctica for sure.

That looks to be about 50 feet high. It is incredible to be there and observe the massiveness.
