Lovely Photo
I was told an Indian in Lanse being laughed at for his offerings of food and drink at an ancestors grave said,"I suppose yours smell the flowers?"

I like the ethereal quality also.
I felt some sort of spiritual link to the Indians since early childhood and remember feeling a sense of peace when we visited this place.
I like the story above. We are all constantly challenged to expand our minds! YEAH!

Love the picture. Here's some history.
My husband, myself and a group from the Baraga Co. Historical Museum rebuilt many of these back in the 60's. We went to Pequaming and removed shingles and siding from falling down homes to use on the Spirit houses. It was a worth while effort. Your photography with many of the photos touched my soul.
Thank you, Barb
