John Condon & Family

(date unknown)
Individuals in this photo identified to the best of our ability (L-R): (Doug's great-grandfather) John Condon (30 Oct 1862-13 Jan 1946); son Joseph Morris Condon (19 March 1892-23 Oct 1966); son John Patrick Condon (18 March 1899-1926); son-in-law Donald John Crawford. We have not identified the older man and the young boy on the far right.
John Condon settled in Copper Country as a young child with his parents between 1865 & 1867, where he would spend the rest of his life. Therefore, we're pretty confident that this photo was taken somewhere along the beautiful shores of the Keweenaw. Where exactly, we don't know.
Doug's great-great uncle, John Patrick Condon (center) died tragically in 1926, we are told, when the car in which he was riding plunged off the old bridge between Hancock & Houghton into the canal. We are intending to one day check the local newspaper archives for more information on this sad story. He is now buried alongside his parents, John & Julia (Rogan) Condon, in Hancock's Lakeside Cemetery.
Thanks to Doug's aunt, who is now in possession of this photo, for graciously allowing us to scan it.
