For those who might be interested in a bit of physics, I've
been informed by Sue Hill that the interplay of light evident
in this image is known as a "caustic network." The surface of
the water acts as a collection of constantly changing lenses,
driven by chaotic rippling.

David--your pictures are stunning. Thank you so much for sharing them! I can almost feel the icy cold Superior water when I see this picture. One of my favorite things to do is hunt for agates at the beach. Awesome pictures.

great shots.....I have lk. superior rocks from whitefish pt. in my aquarium.......there is nothing like this in arkansas.....I use your photos as background on this pc of mine-thanks.......mark, sherwood, arkansas
