Thanks for sharing your photos Paul. I was born in Calumet in 1966 so a lot of this stuff was before my time. Too bad there aren't any steam locomotives running around up there any more.

There is! Calumet & Hecla smelting works No.3 was restored and has been running at the Houghton County Historical Society's museum in Lake Linden for several years now. Its not a big operation, but it is steam running in the Copper Country. If you do a search here on Pasty you may even find a few albums with pictures of it in service.
