Douglas Houghton TRANGMAR (son of Richard & Sarah [Mackey] TRANGMAR) was born on 2 March 1902 in Houghton County MI. He married Hancock native Lucy "Lou" CONDON on 1 Jan 1930 in Hancock. Their first child, a daughter, was born in Hancock in 1931. Some time between then and 1933, they left the area. Douglas got a job with American Can Co. and they settled in Waukegan, Illinois. They raised their two daughters in their home on the upper floor of a 2-flat on Grove Avenue in Waukegan, where Douglas & Lou would reside for the rest of their lives. They had 7 grandchildren. Lou passed away on 11 May 1979, and Douglas followed on 15 Sept 1980. They are buried at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, Lake County IL.
