Wow, I live nextdoor to this building. What was it? Now it is a hair salon. And what's that ... a BIG BOY? Now it is BookWorld! What a great old photo.

It was O'Conner Insurance & Real Estate and the address is 501 Shelden. There
was a dentist upstairs, Dale Houseman, and his address was 503 Shelden. This picture was taken out of the window of The Sound Center where I use to work, which was 418 Shelden. Yes, there was a Big Boy there. And if you look up on the brick of the building next door it says Dougles House, which was a hotel
and resturant.

Oh, and before The Sound Center was there it was Montgomery Wards.

Absolutely Classic!!! What memories! How many years did Houghton use those Christmas decorations? I love it!

Before 1957, the Big Boy was the home of Nelson's Restaurant. So sad it was torn down, and turned into a Big Boy. Anyone remember Hannah and Alex Nelson? Bother and sister who owned Nelson's.

The building between the Big Boy and O'Conners was the office of The Copper Nugget. I worked there in 75-76 -- that's my car in front!
