This is a combination of three photos, each taken about a half-second apart at different settings. The technique of pushing high dynamic range is not appealing to everyone and draws some strong objections by some folks. I recently got lucky with a gift of a new camera and am having fun pushing some limits with it. The sunrises in October on the Portage from Poorvo Park in Hancock are amazing without any tweaks and even more dramatic when pushed in post-processing.
