You could literally hear the ice forming as the lake was moving slightly in and out....when the water came up, it took back some ice, and when the water went back out, it made more ice on the shore....and the crackling was pretty cool....once you got past the traffic you could hear occasionally, and the birds (saw one parent eagle and two young ones...couldn't get close to get a good picture tho)....you could distinctly listen to the ice making noises...soooooooo peaceful out there this morning!
