To clear any confusion up... "Big Bird" is the affectionate nickname for the NMU goaltender Bill Zaniboni.

As for this shot, he was directly in front of me as he was defending the NMU end of the ice during an NMU penalty kill.

Zani has a habit of wandering away from the crease... quite a distance as seen in this photo.
