I spooked a heron while crossing a
bridge on a creek a few years ago. It
was only 5 or 6 feet wide, and with the
overhanging branchs, less than that. I
was sure he would fly right in front of
the car, but he went right down the
creek,weaving and dodgeing branchs.
It wasn't what I expected at all.

What a great story. I've had similar experiences. Isn't nature a great form of entertainment?
