That is a neat headstone. I was just on Grand Island for the first time last week and took the bus tour. We saw two bears! Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. Grand Island is exactly that-GRAND!!

I Love (and this may sound odd) to visit the old graveyards in the UP. a few interesting ones are in Eagle Harbor,LAnse indian graveyard, Seney, and the cliff mine graveyards. Mr Hawkins lived a pretty long life compared to others i've seen.

Really nice picture. Personnaly I love cemetaries.A thousand stories. Can't see why people get spooked.
