I remember Rick Laplander, used to wait on him almost everyday when I waitressed at the Kaleva Cafe in Hancock. Boy, the stories he could tell!

Uncle Rick was such a great man. I remember all the postcards he received from every corner of the globe from people he talked to on his ham radio. Wasn't he known as WZDQ? I often wonder what he would have thought of the electronic technology we have these days. Love this picture. Thanks Cuz!

Nice seeng the photo of Ricky? I always thought his little house was so cute. Was Ricky married? I don't remember.

Fran: Yes Uncle Rick was married for many years to Vee. They never had children. She died I believe about 1972. Uncle Rick died I believe in 1993. I can barely remember as a real little kid when he, my other uncles, and Emil built that house (early 40s?). It is still there last I heard. Got to get up there and check that out!
