This windrow of ice formed after a March blizzard. It's not safe to go out that far, but the ice had a compelling blue color, and I had to take a chance. A coyote joined me there, right off the center of town. Then I had more company on shore, the Village Police answering a call about some maniac taking chances out on the ice!

Great shot Dan...That blue tint is nice when you can catch it...I have some similar shots and other Photographers do not believe that no "color filter" is used to get this coloring. Not many places in the world you will see lighting like this...did you tell the village police you were trying to photograph the "maniac" for evidence?

My Mom and Dad loved this pic back when it was first published in the paper...they ordered a print and have had it in the house for some time ;-)
It says everything about the up-north...quiet, color, danger, beauty..Now I will have to get a print!
